A Lebanese Politician: Were Jesus to Arrive Today, Bush Would Execute Him in an Electric Chair

The Lebanese channel, New TV, hosted a discussion about Mel Gibson's movie, The Passion of the Christ. Dr. Yousuf Kafrouni, a member of the Syrian Socialist National Party participated in the debate. Following are excerpts from his comments:

Dr. Kafrouni: If Jesus were to come to Palestine today, with his culture and teachings, regardless of his miracles or the belief in him as God or the son of God, etc. Were Jesus to arrive in Palestine today, and renew his teachings from 2,000 years ago, what would the Zionist leaders do to Jesus and what would the Americans do in support of the Zionists, to Jesus and his Gospel?

I am convinced that they would crucify him in a more despicable way and execute him - they and George Bush. If in the past, Pontius Pilate turned Jesus in, in a most traitorous and shameful way, Bush would not hesitate in turning Jesus immediately and execute him more than once in an electric chair.

Jesus preached to the people about peace, about a God of love, about one God. He preached to them about lofty values, about a new spiritual and monotheistic concept. All these concepts contradict the Jewish thought.
