Iranian Leader's Representative for Hajj Affairs Mohammad Rayshahri: Muslims Should Unite and Destroy Idols of the World, Led by America

Following are excerpts from a speech by the Iranian Leader's Representative for Hajj Affairs Mohammad Rayshahri, which aired on Channel 1 TV on November 16, 2007 TV.

Mohammad Rayshahri: Today, the main source of all the depravity in Islamic societies and throughout the world is global arrogance. The new idols of the world are headed by America, the great Satan, which is the source of all the depravity in today's world. What must be done in order to shatter these idols and that great idol [America]? What is the fundamental solution?

In response to this question, the Imam [Khomeini] said: "What choice do we have today? What is the duty of the Muslims and oppressed people in the world, in order to shatter these idols?" What is our duty? How can we rid the world of these idols? How can we defeat the criminal America, the leader of these idols? In response to this question, Imam [Khomeini] said: "There is only one option, which is the most fundamental of all options, and which can eradicate all these problems, and which can completely destroy this depravity. What is [the solution]? It is the unity of the Muslims."

The Muslims and the oppressed in the world should be united, in order to destroy the new idols of the world.
