Former Bin Laden Associate Tareq Al-Fadhli Hoists US Flag, Plays Anthem, to Show Opposition to Al-Qaeda

Following is a clip posted on the Yemeni news website Mareb Press. The clip show former Bin Laden associate Tareq Al-Fadhli hoisting the US Flag to the sounds of the Star-Spangled Banner in South Yemen. Al-Fadhli is today a leader in the secessionist Southern Movement. He apparently raised the U.S. flag in order to fend off the Yemeni government's use of Al-Fadhli's past in order to allege a connection between the Southern Movement and Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.
