Following are excerpts
from an interview with Egyptian cleric Muhammad Abd Al-Maqsoud, which
aired on Al-Nas TV on May 2, 2011.
Muhammad Abd Al-Maqsoud:
[Bin Laden] was labeled a "terrorist," even though he made
great strides in the Jihad against the Soviet enemy in Afghanistan,
before the collapse of the USSR.
He was present in Bosnia
Herzegovina. He was there wherever Muslims were attacked. This is what
bothers many people.
Anyone who confronts
falsehood is labeled a "terrorist." That man was a mujahid
for the sake of Allah, and he was falsely accused of bombing the World
Trade Center, although books – and even a film – published in America
these days blames the Americans – and the Zionist lobby that stands
behind them – of planning this event, as a preliminary measure for
the war against Iraq.
