Following are excerpts from an interview with Lebanese journalist Ghaleb Kandil, which aired on Al-Masirah TV on September 7, 2012.
Ghaleb Kandil: Zionism has created the theory of the Chosen People in order to justify its occupation of Palestine.
Similarly, the invasion into North America was a settlement campaign. People who were fleeing justice in Europe – thieves, highway robbers, bank robbers, and criminals – were the first immigrants, who founded the United States. They built settlements in the style later employed by the Zionists in Palestine, which was promised to the Zionist movement at that stage.
This is the source of the ideological fusion between the conservative American movements and the Zionist movements that support the Zionist enterprise in our region.
Another thing has to do with the theory of "we are surrounded by enemies." In American cinema, there is always an enemy. The enemy might be an extraterrestrial being from outer space or an Arab or a Muslim in recent interpretations.
Along comes the hero, who may be a Jew on a mountain in China... I recall a film that we once monitored as an experiment. A Jew on a mountain in China came to the rescue in a catastrophe.
They are constantly coming up with these subliminal messages, in order to plant in one's subconsciousness notions and values that are consistent with US control and with American political propaganda.
