Neturei Karta Spokesman Dovid Weiss on Iranian TV: Zionists Are Satanic

Following are excerpts from an interview with Neturei Karta spokesman Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss, which aired on Jaam-e Jam 1 TV on October 28, 2005.

Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss: I am almost 50 years old. During the past 30 years I, along with many Jewish religious scholars, have held many demonstrations in different locations, including in front of the UN building. In some demonstrations, more than 50,000 people participated, but none of them were reported in the press. The media is entirely controlled or run by the Zionists. They have monitors in all media outlets, and they keep tabs on the media through AIPAC. They also exert pressure on politicians through AIPAC.

Zionism was founded in 1890 by Theodor Herzl. They were anti-religious people. They hated the religion and spied on religious Jews. Herzl himself did not behave in keeping with the Jewish religion. He wanted the Jews to reshape Christianity. In his book he admits that his goal was to change the Jewish faith from a religion to a nationality or a regime with territory and a strong army. All these objectives run counter to the Torah. The Jewish religious scholars opposed these steps of Herzl.

If I were in Iran, I would be honored to join you in the demonstrations on Jerusalem Day, against the Israeli government. In America, too, we will join the Palestinians and Arabs in the Jerusalem Day demonstrations. The world must know that whoever speaks against Zionism is presented, along with his statements, as anti-Jewish. We are trying make the people of the world understand that not only is it appropriate to oppose Zionism or the Israeli government, but it is also God's will. They are satanic. They are against God. They are the ones who should not exist.
